Vidya Balan, who will be next seen in 'Kahaani 2' and 'Begum Jaan' will feature in a Malayalam film and will essay the role of renowned poet Kamala Das. The film will be directed by Malayalam director, Kamal and will be a three part biopic.

Malayalam actress Shreedhanya is helping Vidya fine tune her language skills. Though being from Kerala, she is born and brought up in Mumbai, thus she has to learn language to the core.

Vidya Balan will be playing Kamala Das, who was earlier known as Madhavikutty who converted to Islam at the age of 67. Post her conversion to Islam she changed her name to Kamala Surayya.

She will start shooting for the film by the end of this month. The film will focus on her marriage at the age of 15, and how her opinion on sexuality in her writing made her different from the crowd.
