Vijay is apparently saying 'Aal izz well' out from his heart, in the wake of "Nanban's success.

Directed by Shankar, "Nanban", remake of the Bollywood blockbuster  "3 Idiots" opened to packed houses across theatres in Tamil Nadu.  Buoyed by its success, the actor chose to host a 'success party' in Chennai to the media.

Speaking on the occasion, the actor said, 'I never thought that "3 Idiots" would be remade in Tamil and I would star in it. I was thrilled to learn that Shankar would be directing it. He gave me the freedom to interpret the scenes myself but I did incorporate some of Aamir's mannerisms.'

'I had watched "3 Idiots" thrice. So, I studiously avoided Aamir’s style and worked out a certain body language of my own that worked eventually. But of course, there were a few cute expressions of Aamir’s that I liked and followed exactly', he added.

There were no fights, punch dialogues and kuthu songs in the film but the actor's versatility was evident. "Nanban" was a refreshing change for me and my fans after a series of masala movies, he said further.
