Ilayathalapathy Vijay had recently cleared up the problems for the release of 'Kaavalan'. The producers are elated as they were sure-footed on releasing the film for the festive occasion of Pongal on Jan 14. Adding up to the favorable situations for the film was censor board officials passing U certificate for the movie.  But on the spur of moment, the Theatre Owners Association of Trichy District has now confirmed that in no way they would be cooperating for the film's release unless Vijay pays the compensation. 'Kaavalan' has been facing severe problems from the time it started rolling. Amidst of financial issues, the film is also receiving strong political oppositions as the films produced by the family is also getting released and it is not getting enough theatres. We will have to wait and watch whether the film can make its way for Pongal.
