Vikram in winning mode

9th September 2011

Chiyaan Vikram might be lying low after a string of failures including Raavanan last year but he has turned things around this year, thanks to the good show of Deiva Thirumagal.

He is now simultaneously shooting two movies and the third one is going to start soon. In Rajapattai, a movie being directed by Suseenthiran, he plays a gym instructor. He is also part of a period flick titled Karikalan. In the meantime, a yet to be titled film to be directed by Bala is also on the cards for Vikram.

Deiva Thirumagal featured Vikram in the role of a youth with the mind of a five-year-old boy. Directed by A L Vijay, it has Anushka and Amala Paul as female leads. Vikram says, “It’s a tricky role and I enjoyed doing it. I fell in love with the character when Vijay narrated it to me”.

Karikalan directed by Kannan is made using animatronics and computer graphics. Sources close to the actor say, “He has been choosing his roles with caution. He ensures that he experiments with his roles”.
