(Cover) - EN Star Style - Viola Davis has recalled feeling "like a princess" walking a particular movie's red carpet.

The American actress is famed for her roles in Traffic, Solaris, and Doubt, for which she received an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actress.

The 45-year-old says the award season surrounding the 2008 drama starring Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman was dizzying, and she felt extra special working a number of red carpets for the film.

"As a dark-skinned woman in this culture you seldom feel like the princess, like the chosen one, like the spotlight is on you. [Yet during that period] I felt like a princess," she recalled in an interview with Essence magazine.

Viola maintains her gorgeous curves with the help of her former sportsman husband Julius Tennon. The stunning star partakes in a number of sports and outdoor exercises to achieve her honed physique.

"My husband is an ex line-backer," she said. "We hike, work out with the kettleballs, you name it. I just want to be my best self." (C) Cover Media
