War between Reema Kagti and Sanjay Gupta

21st November 2012

Seems like the big movies in Bollywood come along with a lot of controversy. When 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' and 'Son of Sardaar' released, Yash Raj Films and Ajay Devgn's production house were in a tiff. Now, it looks like the upcoming movie 'Talaash's director Reema Kagti has attracted some attention, but unfortunately for the wrong reasons.

Reema said that the allegations started when director Sanjay Gupta spoke about 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' not being a original film. The movie was co-written by Reema and Zoya Akhtar. She further stated that Gupta has never made any original films and hence he has no rights to speak about others.

But as everyone knows that Sanjay is someone who doesn't take things lightly, he had a lot to say and did so on his microblogging site starting off with, "Poor Reema Kagti, is desperate to create buzz for her thanda film. If using my name helps, so be it. Ms. Kagti you've paid lakhs to the paper to publicize your film and yet its me they highlight. No highlights in your film to talk about?"

He further wrote, "Ms. Kaagti why were you quiet at the time this controversy came out? Was it because you didn't want to hamper your award season? Ms. Kaagti if I've been inspired I have openly admitted and not hidden behind a curtain of fake originality. Ms. Kaagti most of the films I've made have gotten 4 star ratings. But if not original I don't shamelessly lobby and clamor for awards."

"And finally, Ms. Kaagti I am available whenever you ask to debate the originality of ZNMD on an open stage.", Sanjay concluded.

Well, a lot said and done, we wonder if Reema has any comeback lines for Sanjay.
