Zara Phillips delays honeymoon

31st July 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Zara Phillips and her new husband Mike Tindall have delayed their honeymoon.

Zara is Britain's Queen Elizabeth II's eldest granddaughter and got married to her partner of seven years, an English rugby star, in Scotland yesterday.

A crowd of 6,000 people lined the street outside the Canongate Kirk to catch a glimpse of Prince William and Harry's blonde cousin on her wedding day.

Zara looked stunning in an ivory silk gown by designer Stewart Parvin, accessorized with a traditional veil and tiara.

But in their typical down-to-earth manner, the newly-weds have put plans for a honeymoon on hold because of their sporting commitments.

Zara is set to compete in the Gatcombe Park horse trials later this week while her new husband is likely to feature in an England rugby match against Wales next Saturday.

The latest royal couple to get married, the two sports people celebrated their nuptials with a raucous post-wedding party last night.

Held at Holyrood House, the reception reportedly lasted until 2am as guest enjoyed the bride's favourite vodka cocktails. (C) Cover Media
