(Cover) - EN Showbiz - The script for Zoolander 2 is nearly finished, the films co-writer has revealed.
Justin Theroux featured in the original 2001 film about the adventures of an idiotic male model who gets swept up in a plot to kill the Malaysian prime minister.
And now he is confident that Ben Stillers cult hero will be returning for a second big screen outing soon. Theroux is currently working on the new script with Stiller and also hopes to direct the movie.
The script is in good shape right now. Im feeling very optimistic about it, he told MTV News.
Were doing a few little tweaks before we submit it, but Im very hopeful that Ill be working on that soon. Its too funny - itll blow your mind.
Theroux is hopeful that Hollywood superstars Owen Wilson and Will Ferrell will reprise their roles in the sequel. In the original, Wilson played Zoolanders nemesis Hansel, while Ferrell recruited the foolish fashion model to assassinate Malaysias political leader.
In the new movie, both Zoolander and Hansel will be feeling depressed about their careers and decide to take drastic measures to make it in the fashion industry again.
Theroux has hinted there may also be a part for comic actor Jonah Hill, who could take on an evil role.
"Fingers crossed, anything is possible in Hollywood, but I think you're going to see Mugatu. We are planning on seeing Mugatu, he added. There are a couple new villains that step onto the stage, which we are all very happy about. And yes, Jonah is the inspiration for one of them! (C) Cover Media
