(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Josh Hartnett says working with Harrison Ford convinced him not to quit acting.
The star was never sure whether he wanted a career in Hollywood, and even after becoming successful he used to consider giving it all up. Josh worried he should be doing something more meaningful with his time, but all that changed when he got the opportunity to team up with Harrison for 2003 movie Hollywood Homicide.
The film was about two detectives who had to investigate the murder of a rap group, and it reignited Joshs passion for the craft.
I wanted to get involved in charity work and help. For about 18 months I was just working in charities, he is quoted as saying. Then I came back to work with Harrison Ford. I got that opportunity and I was like, Hey, why not?
The 32-year-old explained it was making 2001s Black Hawk Down which initially made him question his life. The movie was shot in Africa, and Josh became convinced he should be doing more work with the underprivileged.
I quit (acting) a couple times, he said. I didn't think it was for me. Shooting Black Hawk Down in 2001 in Africa was an-opening up experience for me on a humanistic level. We were in Africa and there was some pretty interesting things. I was pretty young and passionate. (C) Cover Media
