Zsa Zsa Gabor declines another amputation

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Zsa Zsa Gabor is set to leave hospital today, and has declined having a second leg amputation.

The 94-year-old Hollywood icon best known for starring in classics such as 1952 musical drama Moulin Rouge - has been plagued with health problems lately.

The latest drama came on Wednesday when she was rushed to hospital after experiencing discomfort in her left leg. The star already had part of her right leg amputated in January after an infection failed to clear, and according to doctors she needs to have her remaining leg amputated.

According to publicist John Blanchette, the star will leave hospital today, with she and husband Frdric Prinz von Anhalt said to be opposed to the operation because she would have a 50-50 chance of surviving another year without undergoing the process.

The actress had part of her right leg amputated in January due to gangrene. She was admitted to hospital two days ago after blood flow to her left leg stopped.

Zsa Zsas health troubles begun when she broke her hip and underwent replacement surgery in July last year, and she had two blood clots removed from her upper body in August last year. (C) Cover Media
