Zsa Zsa Gabor fighting poor health'

9th October 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Zsa Zsa Gabor is "fighting" her ill health after being rushed to hospital again this morning.

The actress was taken to UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center in Los Angeles after her husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt found her "unconscious this morning and bleeding".

The 94-year-old star's long time publicist, John Blanchette, told British newspaper The Daily Mail she would be staying in the hospital overnight after responding well to treatment.

According to reports, her fever is down, she's responding to antibiotics, and she has opened her eyes, though hasn't spoken.

Blanchette says Zsa Zsa has a great fighting spirit.

"She's a fighter," he said "She grabbed his [von Anhalt] hand and squeezed it. So she doesn't want to go yet. She wants to stay."

Zsa Zsa is currently undergoing more treatment to stabilise her condition that was earlier described as "very unstable." Doctors have now reattached her feeding tube after it came out.

Von Anhalt will stay overnight tonight at the hospital with Zsa Zsa.

Zsa Zsa has been in poor health for some years.

The Hungarian-born star has been hospitalised several times since she fell and broke her hip in July 2010. Two months later she was rushed to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center after being found collapsed at her Bel Air home. (C) Cover Media
