(Cover) - EN Star Style - Zuhair Murad credits Miley Cyrus for defining his fashion career.

The Lebanese designer says the American songstress catapulted him into style stardom after wearing one of his elaborate gowns to the 2009 Academy Awards.

The creator says despite the fact that numerous A-list stars now regularly wear his designs, he owes his initial success to Miley, who wowed in one of his stunning gowns a couple of years ago.

"Many, many, many celebrities at the same time start wearing my clothes," he explained in an interview with nymag.com. "But the biggest occasion, the first one, was Miley Cyrus at the Oscars."

Zuhair, whose celebrity clients include Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera, says the aftermath of Miley wearing the dress was overwhelming. The designer was inundated with requests following the success of her red-carpet look.

"We got many calls, many e-mails, some of them just for congratulations and some of them for orders," he said. (C) Cover Media
