Isha Rikhi roped in for Remo D'Souza's 'Nawabzaade'

It is the Punjabi actress Isha Rikhi making her Bollywood debut in Remo D'Souza directorial 'Nawabzaade'. The 24-year-old was full of praises in her following Punjabi movies 'Jatt Boys Putt Jattan De', 'Happy Go Lucky' and 'Ardaas'.

Confirming the news, Isha shared a snap with film's clapperboard on her official Instagram handle. Confirming the news to a leading tabloid Isha said, "I have received a lot of appreciation and warmth for my work in Punjabi films and expect to entertain the viewers equally with my first Bollywood film and receive the same kind of response."

It will be interesting to see a Punjabi talent gelling with Bollywood actors in this rock n roll comedy flick. Isha Rikhi has already made her mark in Punjabi movies and now its time to prove her capabilities in her Bollywood debut.

Speaking about her character in the film, Isha said,"I play an innocent, girl next door who steals the hearts of three friends essayed by Raghav Juyal, Puneet Pathak and Dharmesh Yelande. I am happy to have received such a role because I always wanted to play such characters. I did not want to make my debut in a glamorous avatar. A script that would bring out my talent and acting skills is what I wanted and I got exactly that."

Presented by T series and bankrolled by Remo D'Souza under Remo D'Souza Entertainment and directed by Jayesh Pradhan, the film will hit theatres on July 27, 2018.
