It looks as if actress Anjali is one of the most sought out actresses in Kollywood. The ‘Angadi Theru’ lass, is rumoured to have been cast as one of Vikram's heroines in ‘Karikalan’ directed by Kannan.

The young actress whose ‘Engeyum Eppodhum’ has earned her critical acclaim, was reported as saying, 'I will be joining the shoot of ‘Karikalan’ from December 10th in Hyderabad. It will be an honour and a dream come true to be paired opposite an actor like Vikram.'

In ‘Karikalan’, Anjali is expected to play the role of a fiery revolutionary woman, while Vikram is playing the title role of ‘Karikalan’, a king belonging to the Chola dynasty.

The others in the cast include Zarine Khan, Mithra Kurian, Radhika Apte and Pasupathy. The music of the film is composed by G V Prakash.
