(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Amy Adams was a worrier when she was growing up so her parents pushed her to pursue her acting dreams.
The actress is now one of the biggest names in Hollywood, thanks to great performances in movies such as Enchanted and Junebug gaining an Oscar nomination for the latter.
Amy admits she never thought she would make it as an actress because she was terrified of being a failure. However, the star thanks her parents, especially her mother, for giving her a helping hand.
I was a worrier. I was sceptical about anything that could cause me harm... My mom shes a pusher! You say youre scared and shes like, Thats interesting. So do it anyway, the 36-year-old told British InStyle magazine. Our parents didnt baby us. With seven kids, theres no special exception because youre afraid of something.
Meanwhile, Amy has revealed she loved being pregnant. The star gave birth to her first daughter, Aviana Olea Le Gallo, last May and gushed about how carrying a baby altered her perception of life even if it shattered her confidence sometimes.
I never felt more beautiful than being pregnant. Because it wasnt about me. The whole purpose of my body was no longer to fit in a sample size. It was to nurture another being, she explained. So I always felt great, no matter what I was wearing. I mean, trust me, there were times I was like, What argh Im a beast! But I had a great time.
Amy says motherhood has made her much more responsible. She says watching Aviana is a learning curve on a daily basis.
I think having my daughter has made me so much more vulnerable. I cant say, I dont care. You know? It cant be tough. Theres no truth to it. I love her. I need her in my life. I cant pretend otherwise, Amy said. I love how she approaches the day. Its such a great lesson for me.
The American revels in the childs appetite for life and young positivity. Shes never like, Oh, God. I have to eat cereal again and look at the same bouncy seat. Shes always like, The bouncy seat?! I remember the bouncy seat! The bouncy seats awesome! Amy added. (C) Cover Media
