Amy Winehouse's loved ones have no special plans to remember her on Christmas Day because they know she'll "always be here".
The British jazz singer passed away in July this year, with the court ruling her death a misadventure.
Those close to her accept that celebrating Christmas this year will be tough, but her protg and goddaughter Dionne Bromfield is sure they'll get through it.
"I don't think you say, OK, let's remember her like that,'" she mused. "It's just one of those things she's always going to be there."
Amy and Dionne, 15, were very close, with Amy doing her best to help launch Dionne's singing career.
When she first heard Amy had passed Dionne was inconsolable but she's now focusing on the positive aspects of their time together.
Amy was known to love the Caribbean island of St. Lucia, where she went to overcome her drink and drug addictions. Dionne is pleased to have spent time on the island with her.
"Yes [I spent Christmas with her] in St. Lucia," she told Look magazine. "I loved the island, but I didn't like Christmas Day because it was sunny. There was a Santa walking along the beach and I was having prawns for Christmas lunch."
Amy was 27 when she passed away. An inquest heard she was five times over the legal UK drink drive limit.
