The shooting of 'Vana Yuddham', a bio-pic on the sandalwood smuggler Veerappan, will start from today. Directed by A M R Ramesh of 'Kuppi' and 'Kavalar Kudiyiruppu' fame, the movie will have Arjun and Kishore in lead roles.
While Arjun will play the role of a police officer, Kishore plays the forest brigand. "The film is about Arjun's mission to hunt down Kishore. Ramesh has done intense research for the project," sources close to the unit say.
Confirming this, Ramesh says, "I am not going to take any sides in 'Vana Yudhdham'. The film will speak the truth, throwing light on what forced Veerappan to smuggle sandalwood and the attempts of the police to hunt him."
'Vana Yudhdham' is being produced by Akshaya Creations, by joining hands with Sai Sri Cinemas Pvt. Ltd. and S Lad Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The music is by Sandeep Chowta, cinematography by Vijay Milton, editing by Antony, stunts by Dilp Subbarayan and dialogues by Ajayan Bala.
