Ben Barnes enjoyed costume challenge

29th March 2011

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Ben Barnes has admitted he and his Killing Bono co-star Robert Sheehan challenged each other to wear the most outrageous costumes during the making of the film.

The 29-year-old British hunk is the star of the comedy movie, based on the book Killing Bono: I Was Bono's Doppelganger, written by Neil McCormick, which tells the story of two brothers who struggle to make it in the music industry while their old school friends enjoy success in Irish band U2.

Irish actor Robert, 23, plays Bens characters brother in the movie and the pair donned some outrageous attire for the roles.

Wed egg each other on though, wed be like, You need another earring, and hed be like, No, you should have some black lipstick, we actually looked like ladies, Ben laughed to Cover Media.

Ben teased that he and Roberts characters rocked a mental fortune teller style in the movie. Robert teased that he found the wacky costumes one of the biggest challenges when it came to making the film.

How to wear those clothes... How best to rock those dungarees, he joked, in response to what the biggest test had been. They were all hired, all those things - the whole gay genie, the whole new romantic stuff.

Killing Bono is released in the UK on April 1. (C) Cover Media
