(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Bradley Cooper admits his first marriage failed as it wasnt right.

The Hollywood star married actress Jennifer Esposito in 2006, only for the marriage to end in divorce the following year. The star is philosophical over the reasons why the union ended, but believes it was best for both parties to go their separate ways.

"It was just something that happened. The good thing is we both realised it...Sometimes you just realise it. It just wasn't right. It's interesting...things happen!" he informed American host Howard Stern.

The 36-year-old actor is well known for roles in blockbusters such as The Hangover and The A-Team, and his handsome good looks have earned him female admirers across the world, with one such admirer being long-time girlfriend, Rene Zellweger.

Bradley says he now enjoys his hard earned success as he often found it hard to establish himself as an actor in the early days.

"I couldn't get into the SkyBar at the Mondrian Hotel in L.A. when I first moved there, no one was looking at [me and my friend]. I was sitting back at this one-bedroom thing I'm renting, depressed as hell. My sister came to visit for a week, she wanted to kill herself. L.A. can be horrible! he moaned. (C) Cover Media
