(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Brooke Mueller has told friends that she doesn't want to face the same fate as Amy Winehouse.

The mother-of-two is facing her own problems with addiction to drugs, just like the troubled singer who passed away aged 27 on Saturday following her own well publicised battle.

Charlie Sheen's ex-wife entered a rehabilitation facility in the US last week after suffering another relapse.

But although Brooke did not know Amy, she is said to be "rocked to the core", sources have told RadarOnline.

"She relates to her addiction with drugs. Brooke doesn't want to die, and she realises that if she continues to use drugs, she will," the insider added.

"Brooke has been telling friends that she doesn't want to end up like Amy. Brooke is the most amazing person, with this horrible disease."

The American actress, who has two-year-old twins Bob and Max with Charlie, "doesn't want [her sons] to be raised without a mother".

"Brooke is wracked with guilt that her addiction is ruling her life and taking away from the boys."

The 33-year-old star has apparently been told that she "needs to stay in rehab for at least the next three months" to give her the best chance of getting better. (C) Cover Media
