(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Brooke Mueller has reportedly been unable to fly to Mexico for rehab treatment after losing her passport.

The star has battled a substance abuse problem for several years, and has sought help in many different treatment facilities. She was thought to be doing well, but recently photographs of her carrying what was alleged to be drug paraphernalia were released. She was also seen hanging around in a questionable part of Los Angeles and pawning jewellery.

Over the weekend it was reported Brooke was planning to take drastic action to curb her addiction. She was said to be organising a trip to Cancun in Mexico to stay at a clinic where Ibogaine is taken. Some argue the substance interrupts addictions, but it's not used in America.

However, it seems Brooke's plans have been foiled as she doesn't have the necessary paperwork.

"Brooke made it to the gate with her doctor, who was going to accompany her, but the airline staff wouldn't let her board the plane. Brooke is going to get an emergency passport on Wednesday, and hopes to leave for Mexico as soon as she gets the new one," reports RadarOnline.

Brooke completed a 45-day treatment program earlier this year and is said to be keen to ensure she stays sober in the future.

She is divorced from troubled actor Charlie Sheen and has custody of their two-year-old twins Bob and Max. (C) Cover Media
