Charlie Sheen reaches settlement

27th September 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Charlie Sheen has reached an agreement with his former employers.

The actor has settled his dispute with Warner Bros. and executive producer of Two and a Half Men, Chuck Lorre, after being fired from the show earlier this year.

Charlie had a very public falling out with Chuck and went on to sue Warner Bros. for wrongful termination and sought a $100 million payday to conclude the matter.

"Warner Bros. Television, Chuck Lorre and Charlie Sheen have resolved their dispute to the parties' mutual satisfaction," the official statement reads.

"The pending lawsuit and arbitration will be dismissed as to all parties. The parties have agreed to maintain confidentiality over the terms of the settlement."

It is unknown exactly how much money the 46-year-old star will receive but it was reported last week that he would get an initial lump sum of $25 million plus future syndication profits which would quadruple that sum.

Charlie was once the highest paid actor in television history and reportedly received between $1.2 million and $2 million for every episode of the hit comedy show.

He was replaced by Ashton Kutcher in the series which debuted to its highest ever ratings last week for the premiere episode. (C) Cover Media
