(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Cheryl Cole has bought a $3.5 million house in California.

The 27-year-old star is best known for her stint in pop group Girls Aloud but has since managed to create a blossoming solo career. With her reputation burgeoning in the UK, the Fight for This Love singer has reportedly decided to purchase a home in the US. Cheryl has been hotly tipped to take on a judging role on Simon Cowells US version of talent show The X Factor, with the property reportedly close to where the show is filmed.

The Beverley hills house is part of a 42-storey Century building complete with four acres of private gardens, in-built cinema, 74ft pool and 24 hour security.

Further fuelling speculation, head of entertainment on Fox network Peter Rice, endorsed the superstars move to the US claiming she would be a welcome addition to the channel.

"If Cheryl was to be on the show, I think she's proved she's a terrific judge. She has wonderful chemistry with Simon," he commented. (C) Cover Media
