Claire Danes: Surgery isnt a problem

18th March 2011

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Claire Danes sees nothing wrong with plastic surgery, as long as people work closely with a doctor.

The 31-year-old movie star has no need to consider going under the knife herself, as she has been blessed with stunning good looks and still has youth on her side.

However, Claire admits she wouldnt rule out having work done in the future and thinks its unfair when those who have succumb to surgery are ridiculed.

"I'm really fortunate in that I'm still quite young, and can get away with a lot, and my body is very forgiving. We'll see how things progress. I think it's great that women have so much choice now, and choice in products that are backed by science. As long as people are aware of potential risks, and they're working closely with a doctor, I say go for it," she told StyleList.

"These are real intimate personal decisions, and I don't think anyone should judge anyone."

Although Claire hasnt dabbled with surgery, the gorgeous star admits she frequently alters her appearance with the help of hair dye.

In the 90s Claire shot to fame playing red-haired Angela Chase in TV drama series My So-Called Life, and she has been reaching for the dye ever since.

I've been colouring it since I was 13, when I did My So-Called Life, she confessed.

"I have no idea what my real colour is! I look at my brother and say, 'Oh, that's what I would look like.' I identify my current blonde as my 'base colour,' so I return to it when I literally have to wash a character out of my hair." (C) Cover Media
