(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Colin Firth hasnt changed since he won an Oscar and still leaves his socks on the floor, says his wife.

The British star was named best actor at the Academy Awards last month for his performance in The Kings Speech. Despite receiving a host of trophies for his portrayal of Britains King George VI who overcame a speech impediment to lead his country Colin is still down to earth and does his best to help out with household chores. However, his wife Livia Giuggioli has admitted he can be a bit untidy at times.

Were not moving to Hollywood, were going back home and hes still the man I married, she told Grazia. Hell still put out the bins and leave his socks on the floor. Its just now he has an Oscar, and that is amazing.

Italian film producer Livia who married Colin in 1997 has also discussed the night of the Oscars ceremony. She has revealed her actor spouse wasnt nervous at all before the ceremony and they thoroughly enjoyed attending the prestigious event.

Livia admits Colin is still in shock after the win and they will remember his big night for the rest of their lives.

I was very weird because in the midst of all of the Oscars frenzy, Colin and I were both incredibly serene. When we stepped onto the red carpet neither of us had any nerves, she explained. You think the Oscars red carpet is crazy and insane but its organised with military precision. Everyone was shouting our names it was joyful, like being part of the greatest Hollywood ride.

[Colin getting his Oscar] is the one moment I wont forget. If I close my eyes and think of the night it is seeing him on stage. I was so happy, so proud. It was something neither of us ever really believed would happen. (C) Cover Media
