(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Alex Pettyfer enjoyed scaring people in coffee shops by wearing his full Beast make-up.

The handsome actor plays a teenager who is transformed into a hideous monster in order to find his true love in new movie Beastly. Alex spent hours in make-up trailers preparing for his scenes, so he decided to stay in character when he was in between takes and wanted to leave the New York film set. He admits his unusual appearance attracted a great deal of attention and some people were left terrified.

"Every day I would go out to the Starbucks in full Beast make-up and scare the bejeezus out of everyone," he is quoted as saying.

The 20-year-old British hunk found it amusing to see peoples reactions, but insists he didnt mean to upset anyone.

"It was great fun although I don't know if everyone thought so," he added.
