David Beckham: Big families are amazing

16th September 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - David Beckham says it would be "amazing" to have another child with wife Victoria.

The British soccer star became a father for the fourth time when daughter Harper Seven was born in July.

The new arrival is the couple's first girl and joined a brood of three sons - Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, nine, and six-year-old Cruz.

David appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and told the host that he's certainly not ruling out adding to his brood.

"If we were lucky enough to have another one, it would be great," he said.

"We always spoke about having a big family. We love children. We are very blessed to have four healthy children so if one comes along that would be amazing."

David and Victoria came under fire for their unusual middle name given to baby Harper. The Beckhams' newest arrival was born at 7:55 a.m. Los Angeles time, weighing 7 lb. 10 oz., in the seventh month of the year.

The middle name Seven reflected the Beckhams' obsession with the number - which David also wore as a member of British soccer team Manchester United.

The statistics provoked DeGeneres to voice her own presumption about the Beckhams' potentially growing family.

"You want five kids, so then it's a seven," she told him. "That's probably why you're doing it."

"What can say?" he teasingly responded. "I love the number seven." (C) Cover Media
