(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Dita Von Teese says that her worst nightmare is falling in love with someone who has modern furniture.

The Burlesque model is famous for her retro styles while on the red carpet along with a striking appearance that is very unique.

Dita, 38, admits it would not be to her liking if her lover didnt share her cultured, colourful tastes and instead preferred something more contemporary.

My worst nightmare was that Id fall in love with a man who likes white walls and modern furniture! she told UK InStyle.

The star lives in Los Angeles and her house is filled with vintage items including wallpaper and furniture.

Dita revealed that these passions were instilled in her from a young age as her parents were never keen on period decorations, making her even more determined to be different.

When I was six, my family moved into a Victorian house with green and gold damask wallpaper. I thought it was the most beautiful thing Id ever seen but my mother ripped it all down. Ive been obsessed ever since, the American explained.

One of the focal points of Ditas residence is the bedroom. The star says that some of its features were inspired by the iconic, sassy actress Mae West.

I wanted a legendary bed. West had lots of mirrors in her bedroom. She would say, I always like to know how Im doing. I was worried about my bed being a scratching post for my two cats Aleister and Herman, but it seems to be OK, Dita added. (C) Cover Media
