Emma Stone thinks it's "weird" she's compared to Julia Roberts, because she's "still alive".
The American actress has become one of the hottest stars in Hollywood since appearing in a string of hit films including The Help, Crazy, Stupid, Love and The Amazing Spider-Man.
Some people have drawn comparisons between Emma and veteran actress Julia. The star is baffled by such claims.
"Honestly I think it's weird. After all Julia Roberts is still alive," she explained in an interview with TV Movie.
Emma's career up until now has been diverse; however she's hesitant about committing to nude scenes in movies.
The star is worried about her father's reaction more than anything.
"My dad would be quite shattered if I shot a naked scene," she admitted.
"At 16 I had several risky guest appearances in TV series. He went really mad at me and didn't talk to me for three weeks."
Emma plays young journalist Eugenia Skeeter' Phelan in The Help. The film is set in 60s America, and her character decides to write a controversial book addressing the relationships between African American maids and their white employers. The 23-year-old star was thrilled to be part of the eye-opening film.
"For me it's not about the genre, it's about the story. And it's just a wonderful story with great characters. I wanted to be part of it so bad," she gushed.
Emma is famed for her flame red locks, although she's a natural blonde. She insists the statement hue suits her better.
"I dyed my hair red for Superbad and stayed with it. My mum is a red head. I just feel more like myself with this look," she said.
