Eva Longoria has opened up about her relationship with Eduardo Cruz.

The 36-year-old Desperate Housewives star says she was "lucky" to find her younger man who is the brother of actress Penelope Cruz.

In an interview with Spanish Vanity Fair, Eva says she is grateful to have found love again after divorcing basketballer husband Tony Parker earlier this year.

"Love did not work with that person. But it can work with another," she told the publication. "The only thing I will say is I was very lucky to find Edu."

The couple began dating last winter and have been steady ever since. They travelled to Spain during the summer to visit with Penelope and her family and just this past week went on a trip to Miami together.

Eva filed for divorce from Tony after three years of marriage. But despite the breakdown of the relationship the Latin star says she still believes in love.

"There's a reason I fell in love and got married. I believed in it," she revealed. "Supposedly I should be angry, resentful and disillusioned about relationships. But I am not."
