Eva Longoria has split from Eduardo Cruz.

The actress began dating the brother of Penlope Cruz ten years her junior - in February 2011 although they briefly split in March of this year.

Eduardo's representative has confirmed to Us Weekly that they have now gone their separate ways again.

No further details on the break-up have been announced and it is unknown why they decided to end their relationship.

Just last month, Eva spoke of how happy she was with Eduardo while promoting her TV show Ready For Love.

"I'm in love," the 37-year-old said. "I'm a hopeless romantic."

There have been reports Eva has been flirting with a contestant on the programme, which sees a number of hopefuls attempting to find their perfect partner. A businessman called Ben was one of the competitors and the stud apparently caught Eva's eye.

Eva and Eduardo got together following the breakdown of her marriage to Tony Parker, who cheated on her.

"I'd rather have loved and lost than never have loved at all. I just think you should fall in love as many times as you can, because it's such a beautiful experience," she has said.
