The stunning 37-year-old actress has been named the new face of Thierry Mugler Angel perfume, replacing the designers current muse Naomi Watts.

Naomi has modelled for the brand since 2008, and Eva will be taking over this September, according to WWD.

The company believes Evas beauty will bring out a new dimension for the popular fragrance.

While Naomi Watts ethereal beauty embodied the angelic aspect of the fragrance, Thierry Mugler chose to reignite the enticing and explosive dimensions of the fragrance with the sultry Mendes, the brand explained.

Though her obviously flawless physical beauty is in perfect harmony with the artists aesthetic canon, Ms. Mendes mesmerised Mugler with her independence, determination and humour.

Eva is no stranger to perfume advertisements. The voluptuous star famously fronted a campaign for Calvin Klein's Secret Obsession in 2008, where she appeared to be nude. The advertisement was ultimately banned from airing in America for being overtly sexual. (C) Cover Media
