'Go Goa Gone' makers happy with 'A'

30th April 2013

Bollywood actor turned filmmaker Saif Ali Khan garnered quite a few controversies with the release of the first look of his forthcoming production 'Go Goa Gone'.

The film's posters had drawn negative publicity for Saif from the government and moral police for smoking cigars in the first look poster (Read News). He was threatened to change the posters by them, but Saif refused to budge as he claimed that it was for censor to decide what's appropriate for his audience. And much to his delight the Central Board of Film Certification recently passed the film with a clean chit for the release.

Though the film has got an 'A' certificate, film's directors Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru are extremely happy with the CBFC's decision.

The reason behind their happiness is the fact that they did expect an adult certification but feared that some gory scenes might get cut. They stated that as a zombie film, it has certain over the top bloody scenes where there is too much of violence and blood shed.

Set in Goa, the film also had some rave party scenes and both the directors felt that they would be asked to delete those scenes but fortunately the film escaped perfectly with an 'A'.
