Hilary Swank: I consider all roles

3rd November 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Hilary Swank refuses to consider herself too good for any movie roles.

The talented actress has had a hugely successful and varied career, and is best known for her Oscar-winning performances as a transgender man in Boys Don't Cry and a boxer in Million Dollar Baby.

Despite winning Academy Awards for her gritty performances, Hilary has never wanted to be thought of as just a serious actress, and always wanted to explore the lighter aspects of the movie world too.

For that reason, she has appeared in movies which havent necessarily appealed to heavyweight critics, and shes proud of those choices. She thinks as soon as movie stars become arrogant, they are heading for danger.

I dont judge material in that way: Oh, thats not good enough for someone who has an Oscar. Ive never felt that way about myself or my career. I think that as soon as you start thinking, Im too good for that, its a dead-end, she told Total Film magazine.

Hilarys wide range of credits include horror film The Reaping and romantic comedy P.S. I Love You, which she appeared in opposite Gerard Butler.

The beautiful actress values all of her work on the same level, and ultimately considers herself a master of all genres.

I dont think that anything is better or worse. I am an entertainer and my job is to entertain people whether it be through drama or comedy or a supernatural thriller, she explained. (C) Cover Media
