Hrithik Roshan undergoes brain surgery

8th July 2013

Apparently, actor Hrithik Roshan underwent brain surgery after suffering from chronic subdural hematoma, a brain condition in which blood clots form between the surface of the brain and the skull.

Hrithik was diagnosed with the condition after he was complaining of severe headaches on Friday night. He was immediately rushed to the hospital on Saturday and on Sunday, he underwent the sugery, after meeting his wife Suzanne and kids who returned from their vacation on Sunday morning.

Dr. B.K. Mishra, Head of Neurosurgery, performed the surgery at Hinduja Hospital. He stated that Hrithik had hit his head while performing stunts for his films, due to which he suffered a brain injury. Since it was minor, the surgery took place in an hour and now Hrithik is fine and recovering.

Before the actor went in for his surgery, he posted a message on his microblogging site that read, "We all know that we create a life of joy using the power of our mind. I've had the privilege of creating wonders with this amazing gift given to us called the brain. Occasionally, one must look within and realize its value. It gives us the power to see, hear, touch, smell and taste, it allows us to conquer fear and create courage to do things we never imagined. Maybe it's time for me to feel the power literally. I am going to go through brain surgery today and want you to know that I am going in with absolute power to recover fast. My thanks to all of you for using the power of your mind to contribute to my life. Love you all."

The actor was scheduled to travel to Prague for the shoot of his upcoming film 'Bang Bang' with Katrina Kaif. Now, the shoot schedule has been postponed for a few weeks until Hrithik fully recovers.
