The Good Charlotte rocker married long term partner Nicole last weekend in an intimate ceremony on his father in law Lionel Richies Los Angeles estate. The event was star studied with Run-DMCs Rev Run officiating and Gwen Stefani present, among other high profile names.

It was also reported that proud father Lionel arranged for an elephant to attend the proceedings as a gift to his daughter, a move confirmed by Joel who also revealed its appearance took him by surprise.

I was like, What? Then I just laughed. Nicole getting an elephant and not telling me is typical of our relationship, he told People magazine.

The star went on to divulge that although he is usually the guy to say no to Nicole, he was unable to refuse this request, despite its outrageous nature.
