(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Josh Hutcherson says Jennifer Lawrence will "do just fine" with the hype surrounding her lead role in hotly-anticipated The Hunger Games.
The 19-year-old actor stars alongside Jennifer in the Gary Ross-directed big screen adaptation of the much-loved Suzanne Collins novel.
There has been a great deal of hype surrounding the film, and Jennifer in particular but Josh has no hesitations in saying the beauty will deal with the spotlight wonderfully.
"I think she's going to do just fine with it. She's extremely humble, she's really down to earth and very funny. And that makes for a great combination," he told Cover Media at the European premiere of The Hunger Games in London last night.
The film also stars Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks and Woody Harrelson. Josh was thrilled to work alongside such a supportive cast.
"They were fantastic, everybody. Jennifer was amazing. Her and I had so many scenes together, and both being from Kentucky we kinda had an instant bonding factor," he smiled.
"But yeah, everybody was fantastic from top to bottom."
The Hunger Games is set in a dystopian future where a boy and girl from 12 districts in futuristic North America are chosen at random to fight to the death for a televised show.
Josh wasn't put off by the fact that the film was based on a hugely successful best-selling book series.
"I love the books, I love the characters, and I just wanted to make a good movie. I wanted to keep the fans happy so I definitely think that was there, but I wasn't too focused on it.
"They [sound] pretty happy," he added about the fans at the premiere. "I just hope they're entertained, and I hope they're moved. When I first saw the movie, it was really powerful, from the beginning to the end. I hope they go along on the ride like I did.
"They're gonna like it, I've seen it and I'm very, very proud of it."
The Hunger Games is released worldwide from March 23 2012. (C) Cover Media
