Veteran Kannada film journalist Ganesh Kasargod, with many records to his credit, has recently added another feather to his already decorated cap. He, along with his wife Smt Gayathri and son Abhisekh (director of cinematography), have pledged to donate their bodies after their death, at the MS Ramaiah Hospital, in Bangalore. They signed the agreement papers on the occasion of their marriage anniversary. MS Ramaiah Hospital officials got the formalities done for the trio.

Before this, renowned actor, director and producer Lokesh too, did the same thing along with his wife Smt Girija Lokesh and Srujan Lokesh. On 24th April, 2009, Dr. Rajakumar's three sons – Shivarajakumar, Raghavendra and Puneeth Rajakumar, along with the leading actress of Kannada cinema, Smt. Parvathamma Rajakumar too, had pledged to donate their bodies after their death. We hope others too contribute in a similar way.
