Kangana and Hrithik's film won't clash, clarifies producers

25th July 2018

The buzz of Kangana Ranaut starrer 'Manikarnika' to move its release date to January 25 clashing with Hrithik Roshan's 'Super 30', was never official. Even after considering the personal feud of the two in recent times, such a move could have happened.

Earlier, Kangana stated that the film would miss its August release date due to loads of post-production work. No matter how much Kangana and Hrithik have been involved in a public spat, the release date of the film would be totally producer's call. As of now, Manikarnika producer Kamal Jain denied that the clash was deliberate, as per a leading daily he said,"Manikarnika deserved to release either on Independence Day or Republic Day. Since they missed the August date, they settled for Republic Day."

Vikas Bahl and producers marking the 25th Jan release date would have made the Manikarnika producers step back. Trade analyst Atul Mohan spoke to a leading daily that he thinks the box office clash was a deliberate move on Kangana's part.

"Looking at what we saw a few months back, it appears to be a clash of egos. But considering the stakes involved, they are dependant on a big weekend, which coincides with a national holiday. Super 30 is an inspiring tale for parents and students and Manikarnika comes with patriotism. At the end of the day, it’s only content which will do the talking."
