(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kris Humphries has secured a divorce attorney.

Kris' estranged wife Kim Kardashian filed for divorce on October 31. Although Kris was thought to be contesting the split initially, TMZ has learned that the basketball player has now found legal representation.

Kris has hired Minnesota based attorney Lee Hutton to serve as his legal counsel. Lee represents many professional athletes and does not usually litigate on divorce cases.

Sources close to Kris and Kim say that there is little conflict over asset distribution, as that is outlined in detail in the prenuptial agreement the pair signed before their August wedding.

Despite the fairly simple administrative process, Kim is reportedly having a difficult time coping with the annulment of their union.

"She's been having a really, really hard time," a source told Us Weekly this week. "She's mourning the end of this relationship which despite, what everyone thinks, was very real."

The divorce will become final next spring at least six months from the date that Kim filed, the minimum amount of time required by California state law to finalise divorce decrees. (C) Cover Media
