Lady Gaga inspires hairdresser

24th June 2011

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Hairstylist Julien d'Ys has praised Lady Gaga's "inspirational" style.

The stylist to the stars has recalled meeting the fashion-forward songstress, and says that she was an inspiring person to work alongside.

The hair expert, who has tended to the tresses of many top models and celebrities including Linda Evangelista and Katy Perry, says Gaga has really developed as an artist and style icon since meeting her in 2009 and being unsure as to who she was.

"I met her in 2009 in Grace Coddington's office. When I first met her, I didn't know who she was. The meeting was to prepare for a photo shoot with Annie Leibovitz: Hansel & Gretel, and in the story Lady Gaga was playing the witch," he recalled in an interview with style.com.

"For the meeting, I went with some of the wigs I made for the Metropolitan Museum. I tried a white wig on her and she really liked it. She's really inspiring. Ours feelings about art are really close."

Gaga has since wowed the fashion world with her innovative and eccentric style, including a dress made entirely of meat which she wore to the MTV Music Video Awards last year. (C) Cover Media
