(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Leonardo DiCaprio has finally filmed a very passionate kiss with his male co-star for his new movie.

The Hollywood heartthrob plays former FBI director J. Edgar Hoover in biopic J. Edgar, which will focus on Hoovers tumultuous career and rumoured private life as a homosexual and cross dresser. One scene will see DiCaprio share a steamy kiss with Armie Hammer, who portrays Hoovers assistant Clyde Tolson. The smooch has attracted a great deal of attention and sources on the movie set claim the two actors recently finished shooting the highly-anticipated clinch.

"It was on Friday when they had their kissing scene, and it was very passionate," the source told E! Online.

The movie is being directed by Clint Eastwood, who is known for his low-key style. It has been claimed Clint asked DiCaprio and Hammer to re-shoot the scene a number of times until they conveyed the right level of emotion and the pair managed to impress the crew with their believable passion.

"[They did] more [takes] than Clint normally does, the source added. "They wanted to make it right... It's a more involved scene than just the kissing... It was so sexy."

J. Edgar is scheduled to be released in cinemas next year and will also feature Dame Judi Dench, Naomi Watts, Ed Westwick and Josh Lucas. (C) Cover Media
