(Cover) - EN Fashion - Marc Jacobs used to make himself furious by criticising every single mistake in his runway shows.
The designer would go home straight after a show and then watch a DVD of it, meticulously counting any errors so they would not happen again.
But the 47-year-old, who is creative director at Louis Vuitton and has an eponymous label, believes this super-critical instinct has now eased slightly and he is more comfortable when analysing his work.
Its not so long ago when I would go straight home after the show and watch the DVD of the collection and count the mistakes and become so angry that something was wrong or did not come out quite right., he told British Vogue. Im still super-critical, but I dont focus on the mistakes. Theres a little but more ease to it.
While he would often dwell on things and become over negative in the past, the American claims he has now found a way to change his mood.
He added: Im still a catastrophic thinker and feel extremely insecure sometimes, but Ive learnt to acknowledge those feelings.
If I have a gloomy day, I know it will pass. I know feelings change, and tomorrow is another day and all those other clichs.
And as for the future, Jacobs said he simply wants to keep working hard because he is proud of his latest shows. (C) Cover Media
