Minnie Driver: I would die for my son

16th September 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Minnie Driver wouldnt think twice about jumping in front of a car to save her son.

The actress has two-year-old Henry Story, who she raises alone. Minnie has never publicly revealed who Henrys father is, insisting it is a private matter. The star is happy to talk about the tot though, admitting she is amazed by how strong her maternal instinct is.

Minnie is currently promoting her movie Conviction, which is an adaptation of the true story of Betty Ann Waters, who studied to be a lawyer in order to help her brother who was in prison for a crime he didnt commit. The actress says the story resonated with her, as she can understand doing whatever it takes to help family.

Id die for him. Id jump in front of car or whatever for him, she said. I would understand that feeling with my brothers and sisters. I mean categorically with my son but with my family I would do whatever it takes. I completely understand that strong, fierce love for another.

Minnie cant believe how fulfilling being a mother is, and loves nothing better than being with her son. Henry recently began talking, and the 40-year-old says its now hard to get him to shut up.

Hes doing fantastic! Hes starting to talk, she told reporters at the premiere of Conviction at the Toronto International Film Festival. We just had a long conversation on the phone before I came here to the premiere and he just loves to talk. He doesnt shut up like me. His first word was car. I dont know where that came from. I have to ask him when he can form full sentences. (C) Cover Media
