Mohit Suri is on cloud nine

19th July 2014

Filmmaker Mohit Suri is probably going through the best phase of his life both personally and professionally.

While till recent times he was slammed with criticism due to his back to back flops, things started working out in his favour in recent years.

He has had two back to back hits in the name of 'Aashiqui 2' and 'Ek Villain' within a span of two years and this has given him the much needed reason to smile and believe in himself.

"I was considered talented but not someone to reckon with. That has changed. After 'Aashiqui 2', there has been a phase of change in my life," he said.

Apart from bringing his professional life back on track, the soon-to-be father confessed that the thought of having a baby in his life has given him a new high.

He, who got married to his once muse actress Udita Goswami, stated he feels more responsible towards life now.

"Udita is expecting. This is her fourth month and the baby is due in January. She comes from Dehradun and still has those small town values, where she is not comfortable talking about it. Also, she feels afraid that too many good things are happening, so something will go wrong and I hope it doesn't come here.  I was talking to her in the morning today that more than ever before I feel responsible now, be it towards fatherhood or for the monies being put into a film being made by me," he added.

Another personal life bliss was the fact that his sister got hitched. Mohit says that there were so many things happening simultaneously that he just couldn't manage the excitement all at once.

"There was so much happening at the same time. My film's release, my sister's marriage and the most critical first three months of Udita's pregnancy. I felt like I had three releases at the same time," laughs Mohit.

Now that you are having the best of both worlds, we'd say just sit back and enjoy the good times.
