Nawazuddin Siddiqui's portrayal of Dashrath Manjhi on screen compelled the union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad to announce a special edition stamp in the memory of Dashrath Manjhi for his incredible work.

A special stamp was released earlier this week to honour him. Nawaz said, "I feel so honoured to have been a part of this movie. It's a great gesture from the government and I personally thank them to have bestowed such an honour on a man like Dashrath-ji who single handedly carved the future of his village in a small district in Bihar. I am lucky I got to play a part of this man who is a true hero."

Along with his stamp, Union Minister also released former president A.P.J Abdul Kalam's stamp.
