(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Olivia Wilde isnt threatened by advancements in movie technology as well always need actors.

The 26-year-old actress portrays Quorra in sci-fi movie TRON: Legacy, which tells the story of a virtual-world worker who tries to take down the Master Control Program. The film uses state-of-the-art technology, and was actually shot in 3D, although Olivia insists she isnt worried about industrial advancements in the industry, and finds them exhilarating.

Its pretty exciting. We will always need actors so I feel safe, she laughed in an interview with the BBC.

Olivia admits some directors have simply jumped on the 3D bandwagon after the success of films such as James Camerons 2009 blockbuster Avatar, but she feels TRON: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski was completely justified in employing the special effect. The talented actress has compared the movie to 1939 family classic The Wizard of Oz, which was innovative in its use of contrasting black and white with colour technology. The actress is also pleased that TRON: Legacy was actually shot in 3D, unlike many films which are later converted once filming has ended.

Certain stories really warrant that effect, like Dorothy entering the World of Oz in colour, you feel part of it and immerse in the world. Its really serving the story, she enthused.

I was proud to be in something shooting in 3D, many are converted. (C) Cover Media
