Pete Wentz: I used to be directionless

16th September 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Pete Wentz thought he was cooler than he was when he was 25.

The 31-year-old rocker shot to fame in 2003 when his band Fall Out Boy released their debut album. Pete is the bassist in the group, and also writes all their songs.

Pete was completely unprepared for the level of fame Fall Out Boy quickly attained, and has now realised he didnt handle his newfound celebrity status well. When a fan asked him about his 25th year on Twitter earlier today, Pete replied saying he spent most of the year confused and directionless.

I turn 25 in less than an hour what was life like for you at 25 (sic), the fan wrote.

Confusing, Pete replied. I let myself get caught up in the fame bug. thought i was cooler than i was. Directionless (sic).

Fall Out Boy went on an indefinite hiatus in February this year, and Pete has since gained some perspective on his life. He is happily married to singer Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, and the couple have a 22-month-old son called Bronx. (C) Cover Media
