Pixie Lott inspired by festivals

13th May 2011

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Pixie Lott was inspired to create new fashion line from attire at the Coachella Festival.

The British songstress is working on her third collaboration with glam clothing brand Lipsy, who have launched a five-part web series to document what goes into creating a fashion range.

The collection, which has two themes, Pixie Party and California Dreaming, is based on a mixture of both Lipsy designers and Pixies ideas.

The 20-year-old says she took inspiration from recent festivals such as trendy music and arts event Coachella to encourage her ideas scrapbook for the upcoming collection.

All of this is inspired from the festivals, and because when we did the range last year I was really taking notice of what people were wearing, she said in a webisode for Lipsy when talking about the concept. I noticed a couple of girls were wearing the dresses from last years collection. Its crazy to see. Thats why I was excited to do the festival range again. Coachella was very 70s inspired and I wanted to push [my new collection] more towards that this time.

Pixie, who is famed for her mix of feminine and edgy attire, says there are certain trends she just has to fit into the collection. The blonde beauty insists denim and floral patterns never go out of fashion.

I think its good to mix floral with denim. And obviously I love little hotpants! she laughed. (C) Cover Media
