Prince William and Duchess need perfect house

25th June 2012

Prince William and his wife Duchess of Cambridge Catherine Middleton are "looking for a family home".

The future king tied the knot with his fiance Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey in London in April last year. The royal couple are reportedly interested in expanding their brood soon.

Catherine and her husband are currently based in Anglesey, Wales.

Although it was rumoured that the pair are renovating their Kensington Palace apartment, it is now said that they are looking to move into a country estate.

"They have started looking for a family home, ideally within striking distance of London, Highgrove and Kate's parents in Berkshire," a source told British newspaper The Mirror.

William's Royal Air Force tour of duty as a search and rescue captain in Anglesey, Wales ends in 2013.

The prince and the duchess are hoping to move into their new home as soon as possible.

"William knows he will have to become a full-time royal sooner rather than later," the source explained.

"It's not like they are scouring websites and calling agents all the time but they are keeping an eye out for properties. They don't just need the perfect house. There are obvious privacy and security issues, too."
